Job description

Payroll Administrator required in Durbanville, Cape Town.

Our client is a financial and tax services company specializing in payroll management, bookkeeping, and tax compliance. They offer a supportive, collaborative environment where your expertise will be valued, and professional growth is encouraged.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator who is committed to accuracy, thrives under pressure, and excels at meeting deadlines.

Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 per month (Based on experience).

Employment Type: Permanent.

Workplace: Hybrid.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary education in Accounting or Payroll (Degree / Diploma), preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Payroll.
  • Payroll control account reconciliation experience (leave, PAYE, E-filing, Easyfile, EMP501 reconciliation).
  • Bookkeeping experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Payroll & Accounting Packages (Sage Accounting, Xero, QuickBooks, SAGE One Payroll, SimplePay, Pastel Payroll, Paymaster).
  • Experience with SARS e-filing.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing day-to-day payroll activities for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls.
  • Handling new employee registrations and terminations.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and files.
  • Distribution of payslips and statutory returns (EMP501, EMP201, VAT201).
  • Completing the Tax Year-End process and issuing IRP5 certificates.
  • Workman’s Compensation registration and yearly ROE submission.
  • UIF registration and compliance.
