We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and process the payroll of approximately 500- 600 employees across various departments.
Requirements :
- Matric certificate (essential).
- Diploma or degree in Payroll Administration, HR, Finance, or related field (advantageous).
- 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably with large staff complements.
- Proficiency in payroll software Sage 300 (not negotiable)
- Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and labour regulations.
- Experience in cross-border payroll (advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 500-600 employees monthly.
- Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, UIF, SDL, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update payroll systems with new hires, terminations, and changes, including employee contracts.
- Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment with company policies.
- Prepare and distribute payslips, reconcile payroll reports, and ensure timely salary payments.
- Process employee benefits, including provident fund, and leave accruals.
- Reconcile third-party payments and submit EMP201 and EMP501 declarations.
- Assist with audits and prepare payroll reports as required.
- Provide support and resolve payroll-related queries from employees.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure continuous compliance.
