Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and process the payroll of approximately 500- 600 employees across various departments.

Requirements :

  • Matric certificate (essential).
  • Diploma or degree in Payroll Administration, HR, Finance, or related field (advantageous).
  • 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably with large staff complements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software Sage 300 (not negotiable)
  • Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and labour regulations.
  • Experience in cross-border payroll (advantageous).
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 500-600 employees monthly.
  • Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, UIF, SDL, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update payroll systems with new hires, terminations, and changes, including employee contracts.
  • Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment with company policies.
  • Prepare and distribute payslips, reconcile payroll reports, and ensure timely salary payments.
  • Process employee benefits, including provident fund, and leave accruals.
  • Reconcile third-party payments and submit EMP201 and EMP501 declarations.
  • Assist with audits and prepare payroll reports as required.
  • Provide support and resolve payroll-related queries from employees.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure continuous compliance.
