Qualifications

• Minimum NQF 5 qualification in the hospitality industry.
• City and Guilds Diploma in Food Prep and Cooking & Patisserie.
• CATHSSETA scoping – Unit 73292 is a requirement.
• Assessors and Moderators certificate.
• Certified to conduct outcome-based assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct theory lectures and kitchen pastry practical sessions.
• Ensure a passrate of 85% and throughput rate of 90% is achieved.
• Student tracking, counselling and support.
• Input toward curriculum development and improvement.
• Apply assessment principles as per assessor code of conduct.
• Industry time and research.
• Taking the lead on all Competitions.
• In charge of Pastry Based Excursions for the students.
