About Us

Healius operates an extensive network of over medical laboratories and collection centres across Australia, serving both metropolitan and remote communities, including Indigenous areas.

We handle 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, working with large hospitals and small, remote communities alike, offering job stability, interstate mobility, and career development opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), your main duties will include:

  • Collecting blood and other samples with care and precision
  • Maintaining accurate records for each patient and sample
  • Delivering documentation within strict timeframes
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
  • Communicating effectively with patients, clinic staff, and couriers

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience as a Pathology Collector or a Cert III qualification in Pathology Collection
  • Alternatively, a registered nurse seeking a regular daytime schedule
  • Customer service experience and healthcare background (training provided for those new to pathology collection)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
  • A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel between clinics
  • Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and relevant vaccinations
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa)
