Job summary

Helderberg Personnel seeks an experienced Pastry Head for a senior role in a luxury hospitality setting near Somerset West. You will lead the pastry kitchen, supervise juniors and ensure exceptional presentation and consistency across all desserts, pastries and breads.

Applicants should hold a professional pastry or culinary qualification, have senior kitchen experience in upmarket environments, and demonstrate strong technique, creativity, attention to detail and robust organisational skills,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the daily pastry kitchen operations.
• Prepare and oversee the production of desserts, pastries, breads and baked goods.
• Maintain exceptional presentation, quality and consistency.
• Supervise and guide junior pastry team members.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, food costing and minimising wastage.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.

• Previous experience in an upmarket hotel or luxury hospitality environment

Please note that consideration will be given primarily to applicants with relevant experience in an equivalent position within the hospitality industry, preferably in an upmarket or luxury establishment.
