Job Overview
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This position will be responsible for driving and developing the UD Parts sales business in South Africa. The role involves meeting set objectives related to sales volumes, gross profit, growth, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty, as well as planning promotional activities to improve parts penetration and customer retention.
As part of our team, you will ensure compliance with authorization policies, actively work to expand market share, and foster strong relationships within our dealer network. Your expertise will help initiate impactful sales initiatives and promotional strategies, all aimed at delivering excellence in performance and customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive parts sales through planning, marketing, dealer development, and support.
- Utilize the total potential of the parts sales business to ensure growth.
- Assist dealers in developing and executing their business plans to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
- Monitor and support dealers in achieving operational targets for sustainable growth.
- Help dealers build a strategic customer database for growth and retention.
- Promote the Genuine Lubricants and Reman product ranges with dealers.
- Establish long-term plans for parts sales business development.
- Collaborate with the Aftermarket team to develop attractive parts and service marketing initiatives.
- Conduct market benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and recover lost sales/customers.
- Support pricing strategies with market intelligence and pricing data.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or relevant field.
- 6-8 years’ experience in dealer sales, development, and support.
- 6-8 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle parts industry.
- Strong product knowledge of vehicle offerings and the truck industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Understanding of pricing mechanisms and market positioning.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and promotions.
- Experience in parts inventory control and supply chain management at dealer and OEM levels.
