Job Overview

This position will be responsible to drive and develop the UD Parts sales business in South Africa. Meet set objectives with regards to sales volumes, gross profit, growth, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty and plan promotion activities to improve parts penetration & customer retention.
As part of our team, you will ensure compliance with authorization policies, actively work to expand market share, and foster strong relationships within our dealer network. Your expertise will help initiate impactful sales initiatives and promotional strategies, all aimed at delivering excellence in performance and customer service.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Drive Parts sales through planning, marketing, and dealer development and support
- Responsible for the total utilization of the Parts sales business potential, thereby securing the total Parts sales business growth
- Assist dealers in developing and driving their business plans and to identify, support and implement business processes to assist them in achieving their KPI’s and sales growth
- Monitor and assist dealers to achieve their operational targets to enable sustainable market related growth
- Assist dealers in building a strategic working customer database through identifying valuable information that will assist the dealer in growing and retaining the customers
- Drive the Genuine Lubricants offer with the dealers
- Drive the Reman product range offer with the dealers
- Responsible for establishing a long-term plan for Parts sales business development
- Work actively with the Aftermarket team to develop parts and service marketing initiatives that are attractive to customer needs and continually develop the business
- Conduct regular service offer benchmarks to ensure market competitiveness and capture lost sales/customers
- Gather market intelligence and support Pricing specialist with competitive pricing data

Minimum Qualifications And Experience
- Degree in Business Management / Marketing or any other relevant qualification
- Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in dealer sales, dealer development & dealer support
- Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle parts industry
- Good Product knowledge including the complete vehicles offerings and truck industry
- Proficient in Excel, Pivot tables, data analysis
- Very good understanding of the pricing mechanisms and price positioning
- Good understanding of the principles of marketing and promotions
- Parts inventory control and supply chain knowledge required at dealer & OEM level
The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in parts sales, inventory management, and market positioning within the heavy commercial vehicle industry. With experience in parts business management in an OE environment, as well as OEM and dealer inventory oversight, you’ll play a crucial role in driving growth and optimizing sales performance. Your knowledge in commercial parts product development and strategic market positioning will help strengthen our presence and enhance customer satisfaction.
