Job description

Drive Your Career Forward with a well-established Motor Group operating various Franchise Dealerships in Gauteng, who is looking for a General Parts Manager to join their team.

Our client, a well-established Motor Group operating various franchise dealerships, is urgently looking for a Parts Manager in Ekurhuleni to oversee their Multi-franchise part sites.

As the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the current team across multiple brands, ensuring efficient management of orders and reporting. Your role will involve coordinating with the service department to optimize lead times, managing tracking metrics such as sales performance, inventory turnover, and profit margins, as well as analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will be tasked with controlling expenses to maintain a profitable parts department.

Remuneration: R 20000 - 25000 plus Incentive – Benefits including Pension/Provident Fund, Medical Aid, Company Vehicle, and Fuel Allowance.

POSITION INFO: Duties include:

  • Must have a good understanding of both internal and external Parts Sales – Service Workshop, Sales, Over the Counter operations, and Panel.
  • Must understand the full value chain workings of Parts, from ordering, receiving, stocking, sales, dispatch, and invoicing.
  • Good leadership and team qualities and the required levels of EQ in managing and interacting with all stakeholders.
  • Staff coaching and understanding.
  • Warehousing.
  • Perpetual stock counts.
  • Quarterly stock counts.
  • Purchases in terms of re-order categories and not increasing redundant stock value.
  • Strategy on disposing of dead stock not including OEM buybacks.
  • Backorders, stock adjustments, parts store security, binning, and other standards, workshop counter, dispatch, and courier where required.
  • Stocking of parts, intercompany accounts reconciliation.
  • Customer Care and weekly business retention visits to ensure parts growth & retention.
  • Marketing.

Requirements:

  • Must have parts manager experience 5 years+ at a franchise dealership.
  • Must have either Keyloop / CDK / Autoline / Drive / Point-of-Sale experience with Parts.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of inventory monitoring principles.
  • Warehouse Management.
  • Reside on the East Rand / Ekurhuleni.
