Job summary

Finselect Personnel seeks a Parts Advisor with strong customer service and knowledge of automotive parts. You will support customers, handle quotations, manage stock, and assist the Parts Manager in daily operations.

Role requires experience in a retail motor environment, proficiency in English and Afrikaans, and understanding of DMS systems. A competitive salary package with benefits is offered.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional and efficient service to customers, Sales and Workshop Departments.
• Prepare accurate and competitive parts quotations.
• Ensure all required parts are available for scheduled bookings.
• Source parts that are not currently in stock.
• Receive, check, and correctly bin incoming stock.
• Assist with stock control and regular stock takes.
• Assist the Parts Manager with daily operations when required.
• Identify opportunities to increase parts business and drive sales.
• Maintain required GP and profitability parameters.
• Ensure accurate parts identification using electronic parts catalogues.
• Process parts sales and orders efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ensure a high level of service and turnaround time at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Mathematics and Science will be advantageous.
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• 3-5 years' parts experience within a retail motor environment.
• Experience working on Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
• Experience with Evolve will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of electronic parts catalogues.
• Technical knowledge or mechanical understanding will be advantageous.
• Previous parts training within the retail motor industry will be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisational and numerical abilities.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
