We are looking for a Parts Purchasing & Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for the management and optimisation of the end-to-end procurement and inventory processes to ensure consistent parts availability and support business continuity. This includes overseeing local and international sourcing, data accuracy, dealer order fulfilment, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational objectives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE -
Local & Overseas Procurement:
- Execute purchase proposals and expedite inbound orders (local).
- Place and manage supplier orders via system platforms.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and address stock discrepancies.
Dealer Back Order Management:
- Review and process daily dealer back orders.
- Track and expedite deliveries from suppliers.
Inbound & Inventory Data Management:
- Ensure data integrity of inbound shipments through tracking and reconciliation.
Distribution Centre Refill:
- Liaise with central refill department in Italy.
- Communicate supply chain disruptions, new model launches, and campaign demands.
- Implement stock control procedures.
VOR (Vehicle Off Road) Management:
- Maintain and manage the VOR parts log, place urgent orders, and provide accurate ETAs.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Maintain procurement data and analyse inventory metrics.
Process Improvement:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -
- Grade 12
- Inventory Management Diploma
- 3-5 years automotive experience (parts purchasing)
- Purchasing experience - local and overseas
- Knowledge of remanufactured components
- Planning and stock control experience
- Must have managed a budget of R150 million plus
- Excellent systems and Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Technical background would be an advantage
