Parts Manager Vacancy - Johannesburg
A Parts Manager position is available in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Dealer Principal, this role is suited for a candidate capable of maximizing profits by increasing parts sales to trade and retail customers, while maintaining excellent service to other departments and Group dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed Japanese Brand requirements and targets.
- Monitor sales to focus on profitability and support Customer requirements.
- Achieve departmental budget objectives and Japanese Brand purchase targets.
- Maintain stock levels according to budget and brand standards.
- Monitor discounts and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Control budget spending within targets and discuss variances with the Dealer Principal.
- Oversee overheads and stock values, report debtors status, and operate within purchasing budgets.
- Organize and promote sales events and campaigns, including parts marketing plans and visiting clients.
- Maximize accessory sales through new car sales.
- Record and analyze lost sales, hold weekly meetings to discuss opportunities and performance.
- Ensure all customer transactions are completed accurately and follow-up is conducted.
- Maintain clear communication and accurate record-keeping of stock levels, credit facilities, and daily reports.
- Monitor stock movement, B/O, and stock files for accuracy.
- Sign off on credit notes and buyouts, follow up on unsold parts.
- Recruit, develop, and appraise staff, ensuring high performance standards and training on new models and accessories.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Parts Manager.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Driver's License and clear criminal record.
- Experience in the motor industry is essential.
- Computer literacy, with knowledge of Kerridge & E-Toyota systems.
