Our client, a leading brand, is seeking a Parts and Warranty Manager for their team in Humansdorp.

Requirements :

  • 5-7 years' experience in a Parts and Warranty Manager role within Agriculture and/or Construction industries.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural mechanisation machinery/equipment, including parts and warranty systems/processes.
  • Ability to monitor and report on activities.
  • Experience in workshop/service operations.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining budgets and preventative service schedules.
  • High awareness of safety, health, and hygiene standards; cautious to minimize downtime and errors.
  • Understanding of parts procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
  • Driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities :

1. Parts and Warranty :

  • Manage and coordinate all parts and service activities efficiently.
  • Oversee daily operations of the parts department.
  • Order parts to maintain stock levels at optimal prices and quality.
  • Open and close job cards as per SOPs.
  • Ensure weekly parts availability and handle sales and invoicing.
  • Perform daily and weekly checks for smooth operations.
  • Manage warranty claims promptly.
  • Handle receiving and dispatching of parts.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Communicate clearly with suppliers to prevent additional costs.
  • Conduct monthly spot stock checks and biannual full stock counts.
  • Liaise with walk-in clients and resolve complaints with the GM.

2. Purchasing and Finance Management :

  • Meet all deadlines for purchasing and reporting.
  • Adhere to company policies.
  • Manage inventory, quotations, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Oversee equipment stock and place orders as needed.
  • Forecast and negotiate prices for spare parts.

3. Fleet Management :

  • Coordinate with departments for service scheduling and parts ordering.
  • Verify parts during and after services, return unused parts.
  • Document all actions appropriately.

4. Human Resources :

  • Train personnel on service, parts, and warranty processes.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations.
  • Address employee relations promptly and fairly.

5. Communications and Reporting :

  • Maintain professional communication in line with the code of conduct.
  • Respond to service queries and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Complete and submit necessary documentation.
  • Monitor staff reports and site hours for accuracy.
