Partner Consultant Role

Partner Consultants play a key role in the sales process, helping our sales teams engage and interact with Accounting and Bookkeeping firms.

The Partner Consultant team supports Xero's partners on their cloud journey through the adoption and utilization of Xero's platform.

They ensure our Partners are supported by offering strategic planning sessions, technical training, project management, and implementation support. The team collaborates closely with internal teams such as Sales, Education, Product, Marketing, and Customer Support.

Partner Consultants possess technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate technical advice simply and effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver specialist sessions from the Xero Digital Journey to assist Partners in migrating client accounts from legacy systems to Xero.
2. Use your experience and knowledge of Xero to challenge and improve partner engagement with Xero and related tools (Partner Add-Ons, Practice Software).
3. Communicate risks and obstacles to internal teams to facilitate rapid deployment and remedial actions.
4. Collaborate to create and maintain relevant resources for consulting.
5. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in assigned Partners.
6. Gather feedback from Partners and communicate it through appropriate channels.
7. Respond promptly to Partner queries.

Qualifications

• SAICA or SAIPA registration.
• Xero certification.
• At least 3 years of experience in operational activities within an accounting firm.
• Proficiency with cloud-based workflow tools.
• Experience with financial reporting, tax returns, and compliance work.
• Enthusiasm for the cloud accounting market and its opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a passion for building strong relationships.
