Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Language Teacher to support ESL instruction at a language school in East London. This part-time position assists the lead teacher by delivering engaging lessons and providing individual support to learners.

The role focuses on practicing conversational English, reinforcing vocabulary and pronunciation, and helping create a welcoming classroom where diverse students build confidence in language skills during school hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in teaching or assisting in an ESL/EFL context preferred.
• Strong command of English (native or near-native).
• Patience, enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
• Understanding of basic language acquisition principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead ESL teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
• Provide individual and small group support for vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation.
• Facilitate conversational practice sessions to improve speaking and listening.
• Help create and prepare classroom materials and visual aids.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
