Assistant Cook: Part - time

Hourly Pay: $13.50 - $20.00

Hours: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Embark's Stabilization and Assessment program is a residential treatment center dedicated tohighly acuteadolescents. The program specializes in the stabilization and assessment ofadolescent boys ages 12 to 17 and their families. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Southern Utah and Zion's National Park, our campus in Hurricane, Utah, provides more than just treatment – we offer a warm, home-like atmosphere!

Responsibilities
  • Plan the student menus in conjunction with the main cook and Dietitian.
  • Prepare properly cooked, well balanced meals in a timely manner for lunch and dinner.
  • Oversee the overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the kitchen.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of cooking experience.
  • A current Food Handler's Permit, and a valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of health codes and proper sanitation.
  • Knowledge of basic nutrition.
  • Skill in preparation of a variety of foods.
  • Skill in food presentation
  • Ability to adapt to special dietary needs of the students.
  • Ability to work within the designated budget.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • The position requires Professional training in culinary arts is preferred but not required.
