Job summary

A growing financial planning firm is seeking a Paraplanner to support its UK team from South Africa. The role involves conducting financial research, producing suitability reports, and assisting in cash flow modeling. CareerWe are UK company looking to grow a Paraplanning team in South Africa to support our UK people who are very busy due to our growth and exciting plans. About the role
We are a fast-paced, UK based growing wealth and financial planning firm, evolving and streamlining our offerings and services to our high net worth clients. We have a well established UK based team, but we are expanding our support by hiring great people in South Africa. You will gain exposure to assisting our Financial Planners producing full illustrations, cash flow modelling and writing in-depth suitability reports.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct the relevant research required to make financial recommendations.
  • Produce suitability reports to document the advice that is to be provided.
  • Undertaking cash flow modelling in line with client cases.
  • Providing excellent client service to both our clients and Financial Planners.

Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience working within a Paraplanning role, preferably within a financial or wealth management firm.
  • Experience working with IT systems that support this service - We use XPlan but full training will be provided.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of FCA rules.
  • You must be qualified. Our UK Paraplanners hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. We would want you to be comparable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Pensions and Investment products.
  • Good understanding of cash flow.
  • Priority will go to anyone that has supported a UK firm previously.

Other notes

You will be part of our firm, but supporting from South Africa. This means it is a 6 month contract we hope will become permanent. You will also be expected to work to UK bank holidays (you can use your own annual leave for South African holidays if preferred).
