Job summary

An established industry player is seeking to expand its Paraplanning team in South Africa. This exciting role offers the chance to support a busy UK-based financial planning firm by producing detailed suitability reports, conducting cash flow modelling, and providing excellent client service. With a focus on high net worth clients, you'll gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment while working closely with Financial Planners. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent placement, allowing you to work flexibly while adhering to UK bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.

We are a UK company looking to grow a Paraplanning team in South Africa to support our UK team, which is very busy due to our growth and exciting plans.

This is an exciting opportunity to support our mission.

About the role

We are a fast-paced, UK-based growing wealth and financial planning firm, evolving and streamlining our offerings and services to our high net worth clients.

We have a solid UK-based team, but we are expanding our support by hiring great people in South Africa.

You will gain exposure to assisting our Financial Planners by producing full illustrations, cash flow modelling, and writing in-depth suitability reports.

Accountabilities
  1. Conduct relevant research required to make financial recommendations.
  2. Produce suitability reports to document the advice to be provided.
  3. Undertake cash flow modelling in line with client cases.
  4. Provide excellent client service to both clients and Financial Planners.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience working within a Paraplanning role, preferably within a financial or wealth management firm.
  • Experience working with IT systems that support this service - we use XPlan but full training will be provided.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of FCA rules.
  • Must be qualified; our UK Paraplanners hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, and we expect similar qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of pensions and investment products.
  • Good understanding of cash flow modelling.
  • Priority will be given to candidates who have previously supported a UK firm.
Other notes

You will be part of our firm but supporting from South Africa. This is a 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent.

You will work according to UK bank holidays, with the option to use your own annual leave for South African holidays if preferred. The above is a guide and not exhaustive.
