Job Context

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. You will provide essential support by conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and assisting with various legal tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
  2. Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  3. Manage and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and currency.
  4. Assist with trial preparation, evidence organization, and witness lists.
  5. Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts for meetings and hearings.
  6. Maintain case deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
  7. Assist with filing legal documents with courts and agencies.
  8. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  9. Handle administrative tasks such as correspondence and office supplies management.
Key Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in a specific field (e.g., corporate law, family law).
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
