To ensure efficient and effective support to the Legal Department for maximum output in the delivery of legal services and to act as an intermediary between the Legal Team and Internal / External contacts.

To undertake legal work including preparation of first drafts and first legal review of standard agreements for Legal Advisors and Legal Heads.

Are You Someone Who Can

  1. Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions which will enhance cost effectiveness.
  2. Deliver tasks within agreed processes, timelines, and operating standards.
  3. Perform administrative functions in support of the Legal function.
  4. Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
  5. Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date document library and support the Legal team in sourcing required documentation.
  6. Ensure all SLAs are in place and managed accordingly, conducting spot audits to ensure contract and SLA terms are adhered to by suppliers and business units.
  7. Respond to queries efficiently and effectively, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of duties.

You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You

  1. Have Matric and a Legal Secretarial Diploma or Paralegal qualification.
  2. Have 2 - 4 years relevant experience in Legal administration within a law firm, legal department, or legal insurance.
  3. Have experience in Civil Law, Family Law, Labour Law, and Criminal Law, including processing bills of costs in line with Court Tariffs.
  4. Are familiar with Law on Call and the service the product provides to customers.
  5. Are proficient in legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  6. Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Can prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  9. Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
