Job Context

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. In this pivotal role, you'll provide essential support to attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and assisting with a wide range of legal tasks. Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation.
  2. Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  3. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date.
  4. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing evidence and witness lists.
  5. Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to schedule meetings and hearings.
  6. Maintain and track case deadlines, ensuring compliance with timelines.
  7. Assist with the filing and submission of legal documents with courts and regulatory agencies.
  8. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations to provide effective support.
  9. Help with administrative tasks as needed, such as managing correspondence and maintaining office supplies.
Key Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in a specific field (e.g., corporate law, family law).
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Paralegal certification (preferred, but not required).
