Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance automotive component manufacturing. In this pivotal role, you will develop standard operating procedures, analyze customer complaints, and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards. You will also be responsible for liaising with suppliers and managing health and safety certifications. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of QA experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.

  • Conduct audits and manage ISO14001:2015 certification.
  • Investigate quality issues and train team members.

POSITION INFO : Employer Description

Manufacture of automotive components.

Job Description

Your duties will encompass:

  1. Develop SOP, Work Instruction, and forms for assembly process to achieve customer requirements.
  2. Analyses any customer complaints and develop report.
  3. Investigate internal and external quality issues.
  4. Team member training regarding SOP adherence and quality alert.
  5. Conduct Internal Process & systems audit and issue report.
  6. Monthly report – Internal (Scrap rate), Customer (SDS), and head office (QPR & Warranty status).
  7. Develop SPIS, SPPS & LABEL for P&A (Service parts).
  8. Liaise with external suppliers regarding calibration of test and measuring equipment and maintain calibration register/schedule.
  9. Actively involved in a monthly stock take.
  10. Issue audit report to the supplier and follow up regarding any open items from the audit.
  11. Develop project milestone.
  12. Actively involved in SPTT’s (Supplier Parts Tracking Team).
  13. Representative for health and safety.
  14. Manage and maintain certification of ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management system.
  15. Actively involved in continuous improvement and maintain high level of 5S.
  16. Maintain Health & Safety of Members & minimize impact to environment.
  17. Adherence to SQDC priority and BNF.
  18. Identify issues, develop effective countermeasures as appropriate to address mis-shipment, shortages, or other concerns.

Qualifications

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years QA experience.
  • Must be from Automotive Manufacturing industry.
  • Must be fluent in the Quality systems such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA’s, ISR, SPC and QS9000 / TS16949 requirements.
