Placements24 is actively seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber for residential services in Port Elizabeth. The role offers hands-on training, learning all aspects of installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems at client sites across Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas.

You will work alongside skilled plumbers, gain practical experience, and progress toward journeyman certification through a paid apprenticeship program with mentorship and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Commitment to learn the plumbing trade and complete apprenticeship requirements.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable and punctual with good time management.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions meticulously.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman plumbers in installing and repairing water, drainage, and gas systems.
• Learn to operate plumbing tools and equipment safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams for layouts.
• Help diagnose plumbing issues and perform basic repairs under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area at job sites.
• Ensure plumbing work complies with local codes and safety standards.
