Job summary

Gauteng Department of Health is seeking a Clinical Programme Coordinator Grade 1 for Paediatric Stoma Therapy in the Surgery & Ophthalmology FBU. The role requires a Professional Nurse with SANC registration, a post-basic qualification, and extensive paediatric stoma experience.

The incumbent will coordinate paediatric stoma therapy services, supervise resources, and ensure care aligns with Batho Pele and patient rights standards within the public health system.

Qualifications

• Professional Nurse registered with SANC (2026 registration).
• 7 years nursing experience post-registration, including paediatric care.
• Certificate in Stoma Therapy. Post-basic management qualification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate holistic paediatric stoma therapy nursing care within legal and professional frameworks.
• Manage supervision and utilization of human and material resources; monitor service delivery.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care plans for children undergoing stoma surgery; deliver health education to families and staff.
