Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for Paediatrics to deliver safe, basic nursing care under the Scope of Practice. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, identify risks, and contribute to a therapeutic environment while maintaining accurate nursing records.

The role requires a Higher Certificate in Nursing (or equivalent) and CPD in specialised areas. Preference is given to applicants aligned with the Employment Equity Plan and internal candidates

Qualifications

• Essential education: Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent).
• Desirable education: CPD courses in specific speciality areas.
• Essential minimum experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in the creation of a therapeutic environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.
