An established industry player is seeking a qualified pharmacist to join their team in a dynamic clinical trial environment. Background : Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Limited ("WHC") is a wholly-owned Company of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa) under its Faculty of Health Sciences. WHC provides Faculty with a legal framework within which to operate the research and other activities necessary to support its academic objectives. In addition, WHC offers a range of products and services to Academics.
Main purpose of the job : To perform all duties of a pharmacist for the Clinical Trial and CHBAH NICU Pharmacy in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, sponsor requirements and local (South African) Regulatory requirements. To collaborate or work together and support the Department of Pharmacy at CHBAH in provision of pharmaceutical care for patients at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH), including admixing of medicines and supporting NICU patients.

Required minimum education and training :
Require minimum work experience : 2 Years experience working as a Pharmacist in a clinical research environment
Professional body registration : Registered with SA Pharmacy Council. PSSA membership and medical indemnity will be advantageous.
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities : The candidate must also be able to work in a highly stressful environment. Be very organised and possess good time management skills. Problem solving skills. Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Be attentive to detail as well as computer literate.
