PACKHOUSE MANAGER (Agriculture) - Kimberley

Our client, a leading player in the agricultural industry specializing in packaging fresh produce for domestic and export markets, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Packhouse Manager to join their team of professionals.

If you are passionate about agriculture, possess strong business acumen, leadership skills, and technical expertise, this role is for you!

You will be responsible for managing the overall day-to-day operations of the packhouse, overseeing approximately 450 staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :
  1. Leading, developing, and managing the packing team and packhouse operations
  2. Planning and managing all packaging activities to ensure well-equipped packing and storage facilities
  3. Optimally managing equipment and operational processes
  4. Managing finances to maximize profitability in product packaging
  5. Ensuring that washing, grading, processing, and packaging of products comply with Globalgap standards
Qualifications and Skills :
  • An appropriate degree in General Management, Logistics Management, or related fields
  • 8-10 years of relevant packhouse management experience within agriculture, horticulture, or FMCG sectors
  • Proven track record in leading a medium to large-sized packhouse team
  • Working knowledge of Globalgap standards
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans
  • Willingness to work shifts
