PACKHOUSE MANAGER â Vegetables & Herbs

Hillcrest Area – KwaZulu Natal: Our client is looking for a Packhouse Manager - Vegetables & Herbs to join the team.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

POSITION INFO: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Qualification in Food Technology
• At least 3 years working experience in a pressurized packhouse environment
• Production and management experience would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to work with and lead a team
• Energetic, hardworking, and self-driven individual
• Maintenance orientated
• Valid driver's license

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Packaging Stock Control of over 100 SKUs
• Fresh Produce Stock Control and Procurement
• Liaising with Farm Managers regarding harvest requirements
• Controlling Efficient Packhouse Production with a Staff Complement of over 80
• Controlling in-house Occupational Safety Protocols
• Vehicle and Distribution Management, primarily to major retail DCs
• Compliance with Food Safety and GlobalGap policies and managing the annual audits for both
• Bottom Line Responsibility for Packhouse Profitability
