• Managing a workforce of over 250 workers in season and 30 out of season.
• Planning all production and logistics.
• Liaising with customers to complete and deliver orders in an efficient and timely manner under pressure.
• Working with the QA team to ensure compliance against all customer standards as well as ensuring compliance with quality documentation that requires completion and verification.

Qualifications:

• Good experience in packhouse/production management.
• Good understanding of various quality standards such as HAACP, FSSC22000, SIZA & Farming for the Future. Completion of an accredited FSSC22000 course would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage large teams of workers. The position requires the candidate to effectively manage and delegate responsibilities to employees and ensure adherence and discipline. The candidate needs to think on his/her feet.
• Ability to deal with customers and high-pressure deadlines.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime in season.
