Desired Experience & Qualification

• Manage Packaging Materials: Oversee the daily supply chain updates for packaging materials and ensure timely and accurate ordering of packaging labels, trays, cartons, and consumables.
• Supplier Coordination: Place orders with suppliers based on the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) and maintain regular follow-ups to ensure timely deliveries.
• Stock Management: Conduct monthly stock takes, monitor variances, and ensure accuracy of all records in Syspro. Supervise the safe handling and storage of goods to minimize damage.
• Team Leadership: Supervise a dedicated team of storemen and clerks to ensure that all activities, from raising purchase orders to handling transfers, are carried out efficiently and on time.
• Safety & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain high-quality standards within the packaging warehouse.
• Manpower Optimization: Lead and manage your team effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency while maintaining operational excellence.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications:
  
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Skills & Experience:
  
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong experience with ERP systems like Syspro or SAP
  • Proven ability to liaise with external suppliers and manage relationships effectively
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent attention to detail
• Other Requirements:
  
  • A valid driver's license and your own vehicle
  • Clear criminal record
