Overview

Our Client is seeking a Process Leader - Packaging. An experienced Packaging process leader is accountable for safe, compliant and efficient packaging performance – on schedule, to specification, with minimal loss to join their company in Gauteng, Germiston

Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • A relevant post-matric qualification, such as a Certificate in GMP, Production Management, or a related field.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Someone who is available immediately would be preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a production process leader, or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of production safety regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the production process and GMP regulations.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software used for inventory management and data entry
  • Experience in production planning, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) measurements, monitoring, and improvement strategies
Job Duties
  • Leadership and Team Management - Lead and supervise the packing team to ensure smooth operations; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with performance standards; provide training, mentoring, and guidance to team members; promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Production Oversight - Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet production targets; monitor packing processes and equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy; ensure adherence to production timelines, minimizing downtime and delays; address and resolve operational issues promptly; develop, document, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processes.
  • Quality Control and Assurance - Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications; investigate and address quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions; work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Process Optimization - Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices; analyze packing performance metrics and address inefficiencies.
  • Safety and Compliance - Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting - Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and downtime; prepare and present reports on packing performance and improvements to management.
  • Customer Focus - Address customer feedback related to packaging; ensure packaging aligns with customer requirements and brand standards
  • Collaboration with Other Departments - Collaborate with other departments as needed to support packaging goals.
  • Continuous Improvement - Drive ongoing improvements in packaging processes and outcomes.
  • Equipment Management - Manage packaging equipment effectively to support production.
  • Resource Management - Ensure efficient use of resources for packaging operations.
  • Problem Solving and Decision-Making - Apply problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues and support decision-making.
Salary

Basic of: R40 000 - R45 000
