Job summary

South African Breweries is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated devices, ensuring high availability and product quality at minimum cost.

The role requires an N3 technical qualification or higher, a trade test in Electrical, and at least 2 years post-trade experience. Packaging experience would be advantageous; band XI is noted. You will work on safety, quality and continuous improvement in a brewing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum N3 technical qualification or higher.
• Trade test qualification Electrical.
• Packaging experience would be advantageous.
• Summatively assessed in current role would be advantageous.
• 2 years post trade test experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, risk-free working environment.
• Perform maintenance.
• Maintain and repair plant & associated devices.
• Operate and maintain all machines & associated devices in the Brewing process.
• Optimise plant, process equipment & systems.
• Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed appropriately.
• Standby duty required as per roster.
