Job summary

SAB Newlands Brewery is seeking a Packaging Operator to safely operate and maintain defined packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness. The role requires performing shift-based tasks, interpreting production plans, and ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include operating machines, tracking processes, and contributing to quality reports while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Packaging FMCG experience is required.
• On-the-job training of at least 9 months with SKAP completed within 12 months.
• Experience in a packaging FMCG environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and manage associated processes & performance.
• Interpret and implement production plan for shift.
• Operate manual and automatic machines online as per standards.
• Ensure process quality and productivity.
• Ensure hygiene and food safety compliance.
• Perform administration work such as tracking processes and taking action when required.
• Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends.
• Use OFRs as per triggers.
• Contribute towards AB reports as required.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Uphold quality and food safety standards across systems.
