A leading company is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant in Cape Town to provide comprehensive support including diary management, travel arrangements, and personnel assistance. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of PA experience, strong bookkeeping skills to trial balance, and proficiency in Afrikaans and MS Office. Job description

  • Travel arrangements (local and international): Flights, accommodation, transfers, tours, passport applications and renewals, Visa applications, vaccinations, foreign exchange, itineraries, and travel logs
  • Assistance where necessary with domestic staff (1 domestic worker, 2 au pair, and 1 gardener) including scheduling leave, sick leave
  • Timesheets, Policies and Investments
  • Medical aid approvals and claims, Insurance renewals, payments, and claims
  • Website maintenance in collaboration with a website designer
  • Planning, organising, and managing staff at the Director's personal functions
  • Assistance with managing the Director's local properties which includes repairs and maintenance, sourcing contractors, on-site meetings, follow-ups, progress reports, regular maintenance contracts, and so on. (Home, office, holiday house)
  • Reading, monitoring, and responding to the Director's emails (when required)
  • Screening calls and handling general queries
  • Sourcing online products or services as required
  • Filing and Stationery control
  • Bookkeeping to trial balance
  • SARS efiling of EMP201 + VAT returns
  • Dealing with MD's tax consultant for provisional tax etc
  • Collections and deliveries of personal items
  • Personal appointments and purchasing of products
  • Children's extramural registrations, payments, and coordination and other
  • Purchasing and/or arranging of medication for family groceries, and other household and personal purchases
  • Furniture purchases, repairs, and modifications
