Job Title: Owner's Engineer Wind Turbine Generator Supervisor

Location: Randburg, South Africa

Job Overview:

Hire Resolve's client in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Wind Turbine Generator Supervisor to join their team in Randburg. The successful candidate will play a key role within the management team, overseeing wind turbine generator installation, monitoring, and evaluating project activities on-site on behalf of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate actively in site meetings and conduct inspections of equipment and installations.
2. Ensure compliance of equipment and installations with specifications, standards, and designs through thorough inspections.
3. Contribute to progress reports concerning quality, time, and budget.
4. Maintain quality control systems.
5. Verify payment milestones.
6. Review, verify, and comment on reports, drawings, etc.
7. Review and monitor procedures for safe rigging, preservation, and storage of WTG components on site; report any non-conformance.
8. Coordinate activities.
9. Participate in commissioning and Factory Acceptance Tests.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Mechanical or Electro-mechanical qualification.
2. Experience as a millwright will also be considered.
3. 8 to 10 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years as a wind turbine technician/engineer for installation or servicing of wind turbines.
4. Experience in an Owners Engineer role is advantageous.
5. Knowledge of local and international standards, construction processes, best practices, and legislation.
6. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
