Job title: OUTsurance Short Term Broker - East London

Job Location: Eastern Cape, East London

Deadline: April 04, 2025

Responsibilities:

  1. Being able to prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing for new business.
  2. Effective communication with both internal stakeholders and clients.
  3. Conduct a comprehensive risk evaluation for the client.
  4. Providing solutions to clients by selling OUTsurance short term products aligned to the needs of the client.
  5. Drafting, tracking, and measurement of your personal business plan.
  6. Providing on-going service and support to your individual client base (amendments, renewals, claims, etc.).
  7. Retention of existing business including renewal discussions in line with FAIS.
  8. Developing internal/external relationships with clients.
  9. Continuous building of your client base hence securing future income.
  10. Keeping abreast with the commercial insurance market changes and developments.
  11. Achieving/exceeding targets consistently.
  12. Providing feedback to line management when requested.
  13. Attending all weekly and ad-hoc team meetings.
  14. Working closely with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, actuarial, claims, and surveying.
  15. Adhering to all quality standards and measures in place.

Qualifications

Essential

  1. Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate.
  2. FAIS credits / Full Insurance Qualifications (Depending on DOFA).
  3. RE5 (Depending on DOFA).
  4. Must have your own reliable transport.
  5. Valid code B driver’s license.
  6. 3 years external sales experience (If not from the insurance industry).
  7. Sales/Retail/Business Development experience.
