Job summary

OUTsurance SA is seeking an entrepreneurial Broker to grow and develop the short-term insurance portfolio, selling personal and commercial lines by prospecting for new business.

You will need strong communication, a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the Commercial team to achieve sales targets.

Qualifications

• Matric or National Senior Certificate required.
• Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access to the vehicle.
• Valid code B driver’s license.
• At least 3 years of external sales experience in a face-to-face environment.

Responsibilities

• Grow and develop the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance.
• Sell personal lines and commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business.
• Utilise lead generation, cold calling and relationship management to open doors.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to drive sales and achieve targets.

Role Overview

Our business product offering has grown significantly over the years which has led to the development of the OUTsurance Broker Tied Agent Model.

The incumbent of this position will be responsible for growing and developing the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance. The individual will sell personal lines and Commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business sales.

Qualifications

• Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
• Must have your own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access to the vehicle
• Valid code B driver’s license
• 3 years of external sales experience in a face-to-face selling environment
• Experience in lead generation, cold calling, relationship management and opening doors

Should you have previous experience as a FAIS representative the following is non-negotiable:

• FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on Dofa)
• RE5 (depending on Dofa)

Additional Information

The OUTsurance Broker will report directly to the OUTsurance Broker Regional Manager and will work closely with the wider Commercial team.
