Outsourced Accountant

Are you an experienced accountant ready to take your career to the next level? Our client, a leading firm in the UK, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Outsourced Accountant to join their Outsourcing team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from our Cape Town office in Century City or our Johannesburg office in Rivonia, with the added benefit of work.

Location : Hybrid role based at our Cape Town Office (Century City) or Johannesburg Office (Rivonia).

Contract : 12-month contract, renewable annually.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review management accounts and VAT returns with precision and accuracy.
• Present and analyze management reporting, interpreting performance against key performance indicators.
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reporting packs.
• Collaborate with clients to implement accounting systems and solutions tailored to their needs.
• Coach and supervise junior colleagues, fostering their growth and development.
• Address a variety of client queries, providing expert advice on financial issues.
• Work closely with the team to develop innovative solutions and deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements :

• A completed Accounting Degree is essential.
• Pursuing or holding a professional accounting designation such as Professional Accountants (SA), Accounting Technician (SA), Business Accountant (SA), Business Accountant in Practice (SA), Certified Business Accountant (SA), CIMA, or ACCA is highly advantageous.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or Management Accountant within a Practice / Accounting & Auditing Firm is non-negotiable.
• Proficiency with Cloud accounting software and related applications like Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Dext, Approval Max, Apron, Silverfin, or Fathom is a big plus.
• Experience in producing management accounts, supporting working papers, and commenting on management reports and KPIs.
• Strong skills in forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and scenario planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for this client-facing role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
