The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd, has commenced construction with a planned production of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum.
With a long mine life, the underground mine targets high-quality coal, primarily metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Maxwell Underground Mine is seeking an energetic and skilled Outbye Coordinator to join our Operations Team.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Outbye Coordinator will manage the outbye services contract (Woodlands Hill & Whynot Seams), overseeing the installation, maintenance, and operation of services such as ventilation, conveyors, water, compressed air, pumping, power supply, and roadway maintenance (Woodlands Hill Seam).
The Outbye Coordinator will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and safety management systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude and hands-on approach, ready to contribute effectively to a lean team environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Key responsibilities include :
Supporting the development and implementation of operational standards, including regular audits to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Facilitating weekly planning to coordinate workgroups and deliver detailed plans aligned with the 12-week plan, budget, and monthly forecasts.
Providing guidance and leadership to the team, including tracking and reporting performance against safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
Fostering a high-performance culture through effective communication, coaching, delegation, and performance management.
Leading contractors and personnel involved in outbye operations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years' experience in underground coal mining.
Certificate IV or Diploma in Underground Coal Mining Operations.
Strong knowledge of longwall mining operations and outbye infrastructure.
Good understanding of NSW mining legislation and safety regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
