Job Summary:
We're looking for a self-driven and customer-focused Outbound and Cruise Sales Agent. As an Outbound Cruise Sales Agent, you'll make outbound calls to existing clients and prospects who have expressed interest in our cruise packages. Your goal will be to provide exceptional customer service, build strong relationships, and drive sales growth.
Education and Experience:
- Matric / Matric Equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 3 year outbound sales or retentions experience is essential.
- 2 years international Sales Experience, with great earning potential.
- Previous experience in the travel industry will be a strong advantage.
- Experience working in a call centre environment is preferred, with proven ability to thrive in a target-driven setting.
- Clear credit and criminal record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and personalized travel solutions.
- Proactively addresses client needs and ensures a high standard of client care throughout the booking journey.
- In-depth understanding of cruise products, travel packages, destinations, and seasonal offerings.
- Keeps up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and cruise line developments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage professionally with clients.
- Ability to explain complex itineraries and travel terms in a clear, client-friendly manner.
- Handles customer objections and issues calmly and efficiently.
- Makes informed decisions under pressure while maintaining service quality.
- Works effectively across departments (e.g., operations, marketing) to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Contributes positively to team goals and fosters a collaborative environment.
- Accurately captures booking details, travel preferences, and special requirements.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and travel regulations.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, booking platforms, and sales tracking tools.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and digital tools to improve efficiency.
- Manages multiple client requests, follow-ups, and bookings simultaneously.
- Prioritizes tasks effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell cruise packages, upgrades, and additional services to prospective and existing clients.
- Drive revenue by achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets through outbound calls, email follow-ups, and lead conversion.
- Upsell onboard services and shore excursions to enhance the overall guest experience and increase booking value.
- Provide personalized cruise recommendations and tailored itineraries based on customer preferences and travel history.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and generate referrals.
- Stay informed on cruise industry trends, including new destinations, promotions, and ship launches, to provide expert advice to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing and Operations to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
- Assist with key administrative tasks, including scheduling, CRM updates, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure smooth booking processes and operational efficiency.
- Proactively follow up with prospects who have requested quotes or shown interest in Cruise offerings
The following package details:
- R6,000 including medical insurance and risk cover
- Total CTC: R9,500.00
