Job description

Introduction: The Outbound Checker is responsible for ensuring the proper loading of customer orders onto vehicles.

Responsibilities:

1. Verify outbound orders to ensure correct items and quantities have been picked.
2. Nest and roll up customer orders to maximize vehicle utilization.
3. Label pallets of checked stock and prepare them for loading.
4. Ensure trucks are loaded correctly, with labels visible to drivers and van assistants.
5. Check stock according to priority.
6. Maintain a clean and tidy staging area at all times.
7. Test printers before each shift to ensure they are operational and labels are available.
8. Report issues with dock levelers and doors immediately for repairs.
9. Follow lawful and reasonable instructions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Good understanding of inventory management.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and disciplined.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• PPT license required.
• Computer literacy, including basic knowledge of scanners and sequential data entry.
