in Hotazel, Northern Cape, is seeking a permanent full-time Track Dozer Operator responsible for dozing overburden or manganese from dumping areas, including waste dumps and in-pit stockpiles. You will operate machines per operational needs, conduct pre-use inspections, report defects, participate in investigations, and maintain equipment cleanliness; you may work on road, ramp, safety and catchment construction.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 for external candidates.
• Grade 10 for internal candidates.
• Competency B Certificate is advantageous.
• Equipment license on CAT dozer D8, D10.
• Valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Participate in investigations into workplace incidents.
• Report any unsafe behavior, conditions and incidents to the responsible person.
• Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects.
• Operate mobile equipment based on operational requirements.
• Keep mobile equipment clean and in a good condition all the time.
• Will be required to operate the different machines based on operational requirements.

ABOUT MAMATWAN:

The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country’s Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As an operator track dozer, you will be responsible to doze Overburden or Manganese from the applicable dumping area either a waste dump or Inpit stockpile. Dumping could include road, ramp, safety and catchment construction.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 for external candidates;
• Grade 10 for internal candidates
• Competency B Certificate is advantageous;
• Equipment license on either CAT dozer D8, D10;
• Valid driver's licence.
