Job Title: Operator Mechanical – REF: JW398EX/2025

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Deadline: June 29, 2025

Key Responsibilities
  1. Repair, maintain, service, and fit yellow machines, minor plant, and related equipment to ensure roadworthiness.
  2. Participate in planning preventative and proactive maintenance programs.
  3. Repair and install hydraulic equipment; lift and move heavy plant and machinery.
  4. Operate yellow machines, minor plant, and related equipment; ensure compliance with roadworthy standards; perform basic auto electrical repairs; inspect machinery daily; report progress to the Operational Manager.
  5. Ensure safety, compliance, inspection, and maintenance of machinery as per GMR 2.7; supervise subordinates; complete logbooks, vehicle check sheets, and risk assessments in accordance with policies.
Job Requirements: Essential Qualifications and Experience
  1. Trade Certificate (NQF 4) in Diesel Mechanics.
  2. At least 2 years of experience with petrol/diesel engines and yellow machines; knowledge of basic occupational health and safety.
  3. Valid License Code C1/10 and PrDP; specific occupational medical fitness.
  4. Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
