ABOUT WESSELS:

The South Africa Manganese operation is located in the manganese-rich Kalahari Basin, in the Northern Cape, which contains 80 percent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our Wessels Mine, one of the largest manganese reserves in South Africa.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a permanent full-time position.

As an Operator Making Safe, you will be responsible for making the working area safe after blasting operations.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Making the area safe prior to loading and hauling (watering down);
• Making workplaces safe by means of barring;
• Examining and making safe main access roads;
• Pumping water using a Submersible De-watering Pump;

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Relevant experience in a mining operation;

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 / Grade 10 (internal candidates);
• Competency B Certificate is advantageous;
