A mining company is seeking a full-time Operator Hauler at their site in Hotazel, Northern Cape. The South Africa Manganese operation is in the manganese-rich Kalahari Basin, in the Northern Cape, which is home to 80 percent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.
Eligible employees will receive an employer contribution towards the company-elected retirement fund. South32 will support assistance for part-time studies aligned to role requirements and business needs at accredited institutions to eligible employees.
This is a permanent full-time position.
As an Operator Hauler, you will be responsible for hauling Overburden or Manganese from the applicable loading area to the allocated destination, either a waste dump, in-pit stockpile or in-pit crusher. Dumping could include road, ramp, safety and catchment construction.
