Our client, a well-established retirement lifestyle centre, is seeking a hands-on and well-organized Operations Manager to oversee the management of our Florida, Gauteng facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational experience, and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of elderly residents.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Experience in managing operations within a retirement home, aged care facility, or similar environment.
Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
Excellent leadership skills, with a compassionate and people-oriented approach.
Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Pastel Partner is advantageous.
Fluency in Afrikaans and English; a third language will be beneficial.
Ability to handle crisis situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations of the retirement community, ensuring high service standards.
Oversee staff management, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff training.
Ensure the financial sustainability of the facility by managing budgets and cost efficiency.
Monitor resident care services, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Maintain facility infrastructure, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational regulations.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
Drive community involvement and engagement initiatives to enhance resident experiences.
Work closely with the management team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
