RPO Recruitment’s client in the Beverage Manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Operations Manager to join their team in the Western Cape.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting and forecasting aligned with the company’s 2-year sales plan, identifying risks and critical Capex requirements.
- Developing a sequenced strategy to achieve the sales plan.
- Creating weekly and monthly operations communication plans for the business.
- Integrating supply chain plans into procurement, production, and packaging schedules, considering capacities, material availability, and lead times.
- Managing production, procurement, quality control, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Procurement of materials ensuring timely delivery, correct quantities, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborating with sales and logistics teams to meet operational needs and deliver on sales targets.
- Liaising with third-party stakeholders to support operational goals.
- Tracking production records for excise payments.
- Managing production costs annually through active supplier engagement.
- Supplier management, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiating with suppliers annually to control costs.
- Integrating innovation projects and new product development into operations.
- Facilitating recipe development and operational procedures.
- Achieving operational efficiency, waste reduction, and compliance with laws and certifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or similar, preferably with FMCG experience in both non-alcoholic and alcoholic sectors.
- Degree or diploma in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Experience in costing, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, innovative approach, and ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for the role and ability to implement operational processes and procedures.
