Flexo Line Products (Pty) Ltd in Atlantis, Western Cape, is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee factory production, toolroom, stores, maintenance and dispatch.

Reporting to the CEO, you will drive production targets, solve bottlenecks, and lead multiple departments on the shop floor with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement. This full-time role requires independent initiative and a track record of delivering operational excellence.

Qualifications

Flexo Line Products (Pty) Ltd is a plastic injection moulding company based in Atlantis, Cape Town. We manufacture a wide range of plastic products, including spice closures, educational toys, household storage items, domestic products, hardware goods, and plumbing components.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the CEO.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory, including production, toolroom, stores, maintenance and dispatch. You’ll work closely with the various department managers to make sure production targets are met, problems are dealt with quickly, and efficiencies are improved.

This is a hands-on role and will suit someone who is comfortable working on the factory floor, managing people, solving problems and taking ownership of the overall operation.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operations or production management role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience managing production teams and multiple departments
• Good understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes and factory operations
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and deal with production bottlenecks
• Experience managing people and holding teams accountable for performance and results
• Experience with quality and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment

• Practical, organised and able to work under pressure

Additional Advantages

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of the plastic injection moulding process, mould construction and production requirements
• Experience managing tooling, moulds and machinery maintenance
• Experience in implementing automation solutions and integrating robotics into manufacturing processes
• Experience with stock, stores and material management
• Experience driving process improvements and identifying cost-saving opportunities
