SA - KwaZulu Natal, KZN - North Coast Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

R70 000 - R80 000ctc Per Month (D.O.E)

Our client is a leading packaging company dedicated to providing sustainable, high-quality packaging solutions. With a strong focus on innovation, operational excellence, and efficiency, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their manufacturing site, driving productivity and quality across all operations.

Minimum requirements :

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Advanced degrees or industry certifications are a plus.
  3. 10 - 15 Years experience in a senior management role overseeing all facets of a manufacturing site, with a strong emphasis on production management, application of measurement tools, and disciplined process implementation.
  4. Experience overseeing inbound and outbound logistics.
  5. Experience implementing and working with warehouse management systems and tools – warehouse layout, stacking, barcoding and scanning, binning, traceability.
  6. Quality system compliance (ISO 9000, FSSC 22000) and other certification bodies (FSC, PEFC, Fibre Circle, CGSO).
  7. Sound knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, negotiating and dealing with employee unions.
  8. Responsible for on-site administration functions (creditors, month-end reporting, annual BBBEE / EE reports, annual budget, audit prep, BOM’s, procedures and policies, Supplier SLA’s).
  9. Computer literacy in MS Office, SYSPRO, ShopWare, and DataScope.
  10. Valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation.
