CHEMICAL/DANGEROUS GOODS/HAZMAT ESSENTIAL

Operations Manager (East London)

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Management

Experience:

  • 5+ years in the FMCG industry
  • Managing vehicle fleets and chemical storage
  • Cargowise Warehouse Management System (CW1 WMS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee onboarding and stock management for clients using Cargowise WMS
  • Ensure regular stock counts, reports, and compliance with SLAs
  • Manage warehouse operations: reconciliations, MHE maintenance, claims, space optimization, and quality control
  • Uphold safety and company policies
  • Handle client complaints, reports, and participate in SLA meetings
  • Lead warehouse staff, task assignment, training, and manage contract labour
  • Control costs and oversee monthly billing
  • Prepare monthly management reports (e.g EC scorecard, stock loss, operational updates)
