Position : Operations Manager
Area : East London
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- Relevant Tertiary qualification, Supply Chain and Logistics Management Diploma / Degree
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the FMCG Industry
- Management of small fleet of vehicles
- Experience of storage of chemicals and understanding the associated risks
- Experience on Cargowise Warehouse Management system
Inventory Management
- Ensure that all clients are onboarded onto Cargowise 1 Warehouse Management System
- Ensure that automated stock on hand reports are set up for clients
- Ensure that the Cargowise system is effectively used for client’s stock takes
- Ensure weekly planning accounts for cycle counts for the entire production range
- Ensure each client account undergoes a monthly physical stock count, comparing physical stock on the floor to Cargowise stock at hand in line with SLA requirements
- Ensure that cycle counts and stock take results are submitted to clients in line with SLA requirements
Operations :
- Ensure weekly CHEP reconciliations are completed and documented
- Ensure daily review of all MHE checklists and attend to deviations and repairs
- Log and investigate all claims or potential claims
- Manage warehouse layout and optimize space to maximize storage capacity and streamline product movement
- Implement quality checks to ensure product integrity throughout the warehouse process
- Ensure adherence to safety and company policies within the warehouse
Client Interaction :
- Address all client complaints promptly
- Submit a monthly report to the General Manager detailing received complaints
- Attend SLA meetings with clients as required
People Management :
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, assign tasks, and ensure proper training to maintain operational efficiencies
- Manage labor contacts
Finance :
- Ensure all operational billing activities are completed monthly
- Review monthly billing schedules
- Implement cost control measures
Management Reports :
Prepare monthly management reports including CHEP reconciliation, EC scorecard, stock loss reports, operational report, OTP progress report, and management review pack
